Investigation Finds 56% Of Wildfire Vehicles Don’t Have Safety Inspections.

An inspector general investigation found that over half of wildfire vehicles in the Department of Interior don’t have proper safety and maintenance records. The BLM, BIA, NPS, and FWS were all audited for safety and maintenance reports and one Bureau only had 6% of their fleet properly checked.
